How Best To Use BHS

BHS is your go-to resource for all things historical about Brattleboro. Our Research Room is filled with historical documents, maps, photos, previously researched articles, genealogy, ephemera, scrapbooks, history books and so much more. 

Do you have questions about buildings, families, or happenings in Brattleboro’s past? You may call us, email us or better yet – stop in and see what we have! Questions answered that require little or no research are free, but more intensive research is $15/hour. We have some very useful websites available for your use, several computers if you need to research beyond what we have to offer in our files and volunteers are ready to answer your questions or pull files or photos for you to review.
